Jump to RecipeMy significant other dislikes all things ketchup, that does not stop me from dousing my piece with loads of ketchup on my plate!! This Very Beefy Easy Meatloaf is one of the few things I drowned in it!! However, if your speed is more meatloaf with mashed potatoes and gravy, then this is definitely the quick and easy recipe for you!
It took me years to come up with this recipe. I will confess, my mom taught me how to make meatloaf at a very young age and back in those days she used a loaf pan. Now I am not saying there is anything wrong with using a loaf pan, this recipe works in a loaf pan too. However, I prefer the texture of this meatloaf being baked on a cookie sheet and it does allow some of the grease to run off of it rather than letting it poach in its own grease in a loaf pan.
I also like to make this on a cookie sheet because it allows the A1 sauce I put on the outside to cover more area and to really bake on there good!
The Ingredients
For the ingredients I like to start off with a nice ground chuck. I like the fat ratio in chuck, as its not too much but the fat that is in the chuck blend does add a lot of flavor. Remember, this is Very Beefy Easy Meatloaf!
I like to use seasoned bread crumbs just for some extra flavor. If you do not have seasoned bread crumbs plain works fine too.
The star of the show here is really the A1 sauce. It really brings out the flavor of the beef and gives it such a nice beefy meaty flavor. I would not substitute here as this is what makes this recipe special.
My next not so secret ingredient is the worcestershire sauce. This ingredient really layers on the beefy flavor. There is just something about worcestershire sauce that really elevates the flavor of whatever you add it to!
Putting together the Very Beefy Easy Meatloaf
This part is very simple as you add all the ingredients to a bowl and gentle mix with your hand. You do not want to overwork this! Trust me, I used to over blend my meatloaf and it really does make it more rubbery and not a very good consistency. I use one hand and just gently work everything together until it is just blended.
I then put this on a baking sheet with my trusty silicone mat and do my best to shape it into a nice loaf. I like mine to be more flattened than round so it cooks a little faster.
I love these silcone mats and they last forever! Then you slather your beautiful loaf with some more A1 sauce and let it bake at 350 degrees till its done all the way through. I like mine on the well side, so I usually let go a little bit past when it makes 165 degrees inside.
As with all proteins, I let it rest for just a few minutes before slicing into it.
Now I like to have my meatloaf with potatoes. It really all depends on what mood I am in to determine what type of potato. Some days it could be the delicious buttery mashed kind, other days it may be a nice warm baked potato.
I also like to add a green vegetable. Green beans works well to complete this meal, but steamed broccoli would be a good addition as well.
I know people tend to take their meatloaf very seriously, I am in that club as well! I promise this will be one of the most flavorful meatloaves you have ever made. The delicious beefy flavor that comes from the Worcestershire sauce and A1 is unmistakable. This will be your new go to recipe for meatloaf night!
