I struggled for years to find a taco seasoning I liked and my family would all agree on, we had some good tacos, some okay tacos, and some down right bad tacos going through all my experiments.

I was never nuts about store bought because of all the additives and mystery ingredients. I perfected my easy taco seasoning recipe years ago by tweaking it to just the right combination of spices.

This easy taco seasoning is something so simple to throw together with stuff you already have at home, why not take 5 minutes and put it together yourself.

This convenient pint size jar recipe will last at least a few months and several taco nights for you and all you need to do is add salt!

These are the perfect pint jars for gifting and storing!

This also makes a great gift idea! Make up a bunch of pint size jars, add a cute label and a bow and you have a great homemade Christmas gift to share with your family!

It’s my preference that I don’t love cumin. I do not hate it, but I also don’t want it to be the star of the show. For me, this is the perfect seasoning for anyone who does not want it to be the star, I still want it at the party, I just don’t need it to be the center of attention.

I have customized this easy taco seasoning blend to my preference, If you prefer more spice, then add more cayanan or chili pepper flakes. I like th cayanan because it is such a warm heat that will sneak up on you, but if properly executed will not overwhelm.

I like red chili pepper flakes because they are such a great burst of flavor for anything you want to elevate with a little heat!
