I have an Instant Pot, and I use it frequently, I will even tell you how to make this dish in an Instant Pot. However, sometimes I just feel like pulling out the good old fashioned crock pot.

I think sometimes it can be convienient to use a crock pot because you want something to cook all day and be ready for you when you’re done working. That is one of my favorite things about crock pot meals.

I just got this nice, reasonably priced crock pot on Amazon and I love it!

My favorite thing about this dish is how quickly it comes together. You literally just throw everything in your crock pot and walk away.

Because you are using beef stew meat, it makes it cooks more quickly so it also doesn’t take forever to make.

The Ingredients

Starting with the beef stew meat, you want to make sure it thawed, or mostly thawed.

Also, if you want this to be more meaty add an extra pound of beef. This recipe makes a ton, but it is mostly noodles and if you have some serious meat lovers, you’re going to want to add more beef.

For the sauce, this is a clever mixture of French Onion soup and Cream of Mushroom. They combine together so nicely to make that beefy oniony mushroom flavor everyone loves!

I have to have mushrooms in my beef stroganoff, this is obvioulsy not a recipe for traditional beef stroganoff, which would not include mushrooms. But this is my recipe and my rules, and I think mushrooms are the perfect addition to this recipe!

Worcestershire Sauce really helps to boost that beef flavor. Anytime I want to really deepen the flavor of a sauce or gravy, I add a little Worcestershire sauce. Keep in mind, a little goes a long way.

To stay on par with a traditional beef stroganoff, I use egg noodles. I think they go perfectly with this dish and absorb all that delicious sauce.

The sour cream is not 100% needed, it does make this dish a little more creamy, so I like to throw it if I have it. Don’t fret if you do not have any, this is still good without it!

Making Easy Crock Pot Beef Stroganoff

This dish is beyond simple to put together. You literally cannot mess it up!

All you need to do is put everything but the noodles in the crock pot and allow it to cook on high for 4 hours or low for 8.

Once the meat is all cooked and tender, get your noodles ready and add them to the crock pot.

Finish it off with the sour cream.

I like to serve this with parmesan, as I put parmesan on anything noodle, but that is a personal preference.

Also, this dish does not have any black pepper in it, so if you like pepper I would definitely use some at the end.
