We don’t eat out often a lot and when we do, Red Lobster isn’t usually on the menu. It has gotten very expensive and for us, its across town, so needless to say, we’re just not that motivated. However, I often of dream of the biscuits. I used to say I just want to go there for biscuits and a side salad, but I don’t think they’d let me have 30 biscuits with my side salad!

I love this recipe because it could not be easier to make. You just throw everything in your food processor and poof you’re done! These biscuits are so delicious, cheesy, and garlicy, they can go with any meal. I like making our fish nights special by adding these biscuits to the menu. For the teenagers, it helps the “boring” grilled fish go down easier.

Every year we have the same meal for Christmas dinner, prime rib, mashed potatoes and asparagus. It’s always delicious and I do vary the appetizers, but it can get pretty boring year after year. Last year we decided to change things up and do a seafood boil for Christmas dinner. I planned everything out, I got crab legs, shrimp, scallops, squid, and mussels. To the boil I also added some sausage, red potatoes, and corn on the cob.

I wanted to make this a complete meal, so to finish it off I decided I would try to make biscuits like they make at Red Lobster. After several different attempts I came up with this delicious and very similar recipe and it really did complete the meal. In fact, the kids thought it was the best part!

I recommend giving these biscuits a try! And don’t worry, if you do not have a food processor, you can mix by hand, just be sure to crumble your butter into the flour before adding the other ingredients. This can be done with a pastry blender or your fingers!

Notes

  • These are best served warm.
  • You can mix this dough by hand if you do not have a food processor.
  • I recommend reheating these rolls in a foil pocket in the oven for 10 minutes at 350.
